Noida: With an aim to extend healthcare services to the economically weaker sections of the society, a free medical camp Abha Sewa Sadan was organised by Ananda Marga Pracharka Samgha (AMPS), Noida on November 2 at the Labour Colony near the under-construction Antriksh Villa, Sector 150, here.
The camp was inaugurated by Acharya Shuddacittanand Avadhut, senior monk of the Ananda Marga Pracharka Samgha. Avadhutika Ananda Vinaya Acharya, senior nun from the United States, also graced the occasion.
Under the supervision of an experienced medical team comprising Dr. Aman Ror (General Physician) and Dr. Sheeba Ror (Gynaecologist), the camp provided free consultations, primary treatment, blood pressure and sugar testing, and medicines to nearly 90 patients. Awareness sessions on hygiene, nutrition, and preventive healthcare were also conducted.
Praveer Kumar, Spokesperson of AMPS Noida, expressed gratitude to all doctors, volunteers, and supporters for their cooperation. “Ananda Marga Pracharka Samgha has always believed in the philosophy of ‘Service to Humanity is Service to God’. Through our activities in education, relief, and welfare, we aim to bring tangible improvement in the lives of the marginalized,” he said.
Kumar further informed that Ananda Marga operates People’s Day School in Sector 150, where over 60 children from economically disadvantaged families receive free education, meals, uniforms, and regular health check-ups. The school focuses on holistic development, incorporating moral education, yoga, sports, and extracurricular activities.
In addition to its educational initiatives, the organization runs bi-monthly full-meal distribution drives for impoverished families in Noida’s labour colonies and participates actively in disaster relief operations across India and abroad.
