NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated Sindhu Hospital in Hyderabad, describing the institution as an important addition to the city’s expanding healthcare infrastructure and a step towards improving access to advanced medical services in the region.
The Prime Minister said the hospital reflects the growing emphasis on strengthening healthcare delivery through modern technology, innovation and patient-centric care. He noted that the institution would not only cater to residents of Hyderabad, but also serve patients from neighbouring districts and other parts of Telangana who often travel to metropolitan centres for specialised treatment.
In a post on X, , the Prime Minister said: “Inaugurated the Sindhu Hospital in Hyderabad. It’s a laudable effort to improve healthcare infrastructure in the city and surrounding areas. The emphasis on integrating latest technology and innovation by the hospital team is appreciable.”
Healthcare experts said the inauguration comes at a time when India is witnessing increasing demand for multi-speciality hospitals equipped with advanced diagnostic and critical care facilities. Urbanisation, rising lifestyle diseases, growing elderly populations and increasing awareness regarding preventive healthcare have significantly increased pressure on existing healthcare systems, particularly in rapidly growing cities such as Hyderabad.
The newly inaugurated hospital is expected to offer a wide range of specialised medical services, including critical care, emergency medicine, advanced diagnostics, minimally invasive surgeries and multi-disciplinary treatment.
