Jim Corbett National Park

Jim Corbett National Park is a lush wildlife sanctuary located in the northern region of India’s Uttarakhand State. This park is renowned for its population of Bengal tigers, as well as other exotic animals such as leopards and wild elephants that freely roam the Dhikala zone. The Sonanadi zone, situated along the banks of the Ramganga Reservoir, is a haven for elephants, leopards, and a diverse array of bird species.

Recognized for its natural beauty and biodiversity, Jim Corbett National Park holds a special place in history as the first National Park established in mainland Asia in 1936. Originally known as the ‘Hailey National Park,’ it was later renamed in honor of James Edward Corbett, a prominent hunter turned conservationist who played a key role in preserving the area’s wildlife.

In 1971, the park became part of ‘Project Tiger,’ a conservation initiative launched by the Government of India to protect the endangered tiger population. This project underscores the park’s commitment to preserving its rich ecosystem and ensuring the survival of its iconic species. Jim Corbett National Park stands as a testament to the importance of wildlife conservation efforts in safeguarding our natural heritage for future generations.

Embark on a thrilling vehicle safari in Corbett Tiger Reserve for an up-close and personal wildlife experience. Our safaris cater to small groups and photographers, with a capacity of up to 6 passengers in our Jeep safaris. These vehicles are designed to navigate through narrower paths, providing a more intimate encounter with the wildlife.

For those looking for a group-oriented experience, our Canter safaris are the perfect choice. These spacious open trucks can accommodate up to 16 people, allowing for a shared adventure through the park. While Canter safaris cover a larger area, they follow a fixed schedule and route, offering less flexibility compared to Jeep safaris.

Both safari options last approximately 4 hours, giving you ample time to explore the diverse ecosystem of the park. Whether you choose a Jeep or Canter safari will depend on your preferences for intimacy, flexibility, and group size. Whichever you choose, you are sure to have an unforgettable wildlife experience in Corbett Tiger Reserve.
